About the Role ( 3 Month Project with possibility of extension)

In 2023, Afropolitan Cities made the strategic move to prioritize brand partnerships as a core part of the company’s business model, and since then the brand partnership team has been growing exponentially. Our brand partnerships department is seeking a highly driven and resourceful project manager to direct and manage on-going brand activation projects designed to maximize reach and exposure for our corporate clients seeking to engage with and tap the African Diaspora market. 
Responsibilities: 
•	Determine, define document campaign objectives, scope, roles & responsibilities 
•	Define resource requirements and manage resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party
•	Develop detailed project plan and track and schedule key campaign milestones, workstreams and activities 
•	Develop budget based on goals & requirements and track costs to deliver project on budget and on time
•	Recruit, onboard and train staff on campaign goals, execution plan, etc 
•	Track project and provide regular reports on project status to client, project team and other stakeholders
•	Build project management plans using modern project management tools that can allow easy & seamless collaboration with all stakeholders
•	Manage the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
•	Develop plan and manage community outreach effort to secure partnerships with community groups & organizations, influencers, community media and other affiliate partners that can maximize reach & exposure for client’s brand according to the requirements 
•	Mediate communication with the project team and stakeholders, manage risks and issues, and monitor progress to ensure that the project stays on track
•	Negotiate, develop and execute contracts with community partners, vendors and service providers
•	Coordinate and manage the creation, dissemination and distribution of client branded marketing material to all partners as needed 
•	Develop, schedule. direct and manage all brand activations (live & digital) with community partners. 
•	Generate post-campaign reports and conduct presentations to provide and communicate key performance, results and feedback 
•	Provide weekly project updates to all stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

Requirements & Qualifications

•	Possess at least 5 years’ experience in project management. Project management experience is advantageous with clear evidence of delivery within tight timelines. Understanding of conventional and digital media platforms
•	Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
•	Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
•	Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills 
•	Mathematical and budgeting skills
•	Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
•	A good verbal and non-verbal communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
•	Excellent analytical skills
•	Large network with deep connections with groups, organizations and influencers in the African Diaspora is preferred 
•	Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
•	Demonstrated experience developing relationships with various community partners 
•	Experience of contract writing and management
•	Proven ability to solve problems creatively
•	Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management
•	The ability to initiate and spearhead projects from ideation to execution with minimal guidance  
•	Natural team player with an ability to effectively work independently 
•	Excited by challenges and motivated to find solutions that work for all parties. 
•	Excellent IT Skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
•	Strong drive & strategic thinker with a proven ability to navigate challenges and  capitalize on opportunities
•	Detail oriented with a strong ability to organize 
•	Natural problem solver with a proven track record navigate through challenges
•	Extremely resourceful
