Event Producer / Project Manager

Event producers develop the event concepts and themes for each month and curate the Afropolitan experience. Event producers conduct extensive research on venues, talent and resources, and coordinate with necessary parties to secure venues and recruit the necessary staff.

The core responsibilities include:

  1. Work with all stakeholders to create yearly event calendars that meet DPE’s yearly event content and marketing goals.

  2. Conduct research on national days, special events and culture of African and Caribbean countries and work with marketing, sponsorship and other event staff to develop exciting monthly themes that make Afropolitan an insightful and captivating cultural experience that caters to nationalities and cultures

  3. Conduct research on required venues for the various themes and secure venues at least 3 months in advance. Negotiate terms with venues within the limits of DrumPulse and create/update venue contracts

  4. Conduct research on required talent(artists, performers, MCs, etc), screen and validate and recruit and secure months in advance. Negotiate terms within the limits of DrumPulse and create/update artist contracts

  5. Recruit event staff, negotiate terms within DPE limits, create/update and execute contracts.

  6. Develop ideas for networking and recruit facilitators. Create/update contracts for facilitators

  7. Research and entrepreneurs and other accomplished professionals for the business spotlight potion of networking

  8. Work with sponsorship team to incorporate order fulfillment programs in event programs. Handle setup, floor layout and logistics for sponsor programs

  9. Develop and document conceptual models, floor plans and setup for each event concept and share with all stakeholders

  10. Research and recruit food vendors, photographers, videographers etc and execute contracts

  11. Develop programs/agenda’s for each event and share with all staff ahead of time

  12. Develop and document VIP floor plans and tracking sheet for VIP management

  13. Conduct surveys and collect customer feedback on experience

Social Media Marketing Specialist 

The company is currently seeking a social media marketing specialist to attract & interact with DrumPulse targeted virtual communities and network users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. Specific responsibilities include: 

 

1. Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

2. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections, promotes the DPE and Afropolitan brands and encourages community members to take action

3. Develop a plan and coordinate with photographers & videographers to ensure photos and videos taken at event correspond to social media and brand marketing goals

4. Coordinate with photographers and videographers for raw & edited video footages as well as edited photos

5. Categorize each event photo and add to social media marketing photo buckets

6. Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

7. Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

8.Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

8. Collaborate with other departments (Event production, Sponsorship, etc.) to meet all social media marketing goals

Sponsorship/Research Analyst 

The sponsorship analyst role will be central to DrumPulse’s business model. The success of the company will depend on its ability to identify, engage and onboard various corporate brands for different projects.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the sponsorship director to serve clients needs and engagements.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on key potential sponsors and industry related to DPE’s mission

  • Develop and prepare internal/external briefing documents and materials with necessary fields to track information about companies, their sponsorship criteria, expectation and conditions as well as status of DrumPulse’s communication with sponsors.

  • Support new business engagements and conduct background research on specific companies and sectors

  • Develop proposals (ppt & word version) and other communication materials to facilitate the sponsorship process.

  • Mediate and coordinate various forms of communications between DrumPulse and sponsors and schedule meetings where necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Develop potential sponsor briefing documents based on various industries and sectors

  • Serve as a liaison between potential sponsors and DrumPulse
